About the Online Notepad
The Online Notepad is a simple place to write without distractions. Jot down ideas, to-do lists, meeting notes, drafts of posts or code snippets, and everything is saved automatically in your browser as you type. Close the tab, restart your computer, come back tomorrow: your notes are still here.
Create as many notes as you need, give them titles, search across all notes, adjust the font size and download any note as a plain text file. Because notes are stored only in your browser's local storage, they are private to this device and never uploaded to a server. Remember that clearing your browser data will also delete them, so download important notes.
How to use the Online Notepad
- Start typing in the big text area; it saves automatically.
- Click + New note to create more notes and give each a title.
- Use the search box to find notes quickly.
- Download or copy a note whenever you need it.

Notes are deleted if you clear your browser data or use a private window. Download important notes as TXT files for backup.
Is there a size limit?
Browsers allow about 5 MB of local storage per site, which is millions of characters of text.
