About the Barcode Generator

Frequently asked questions
Which barcode type should I use?
Use CODE128 for internal labels and any text. Use EAN-13 or UPC-A only for retail products with registered GS1 numbers.
Can I use a generated EAN for my product in stores?
The barcode image is valid, but the number itself must be licensed from GS1 for retail use to avoid conflicts with other products.
Why is my value invalid?
Each format has rules: EAN-13 needs 12 or 13 digits, UPC-A needs 11 or 12 digits, and CODE39 only supports uppercase letters, numbers and a few symbols.
