About the Online Screen Recorder
The Online Screen Recorder captures your screen directly from the browser using the built-in Screen Capture API. Record your whole screen, a single application window or one browser tab to create tutorials, software demos, bug reports, presentations, online class recordings or gameplay clips.
You can include your microphone for narration and the system or tab audio (supported in Chrome and Edge), which are mixed together automatically. There is no watermark and no time limit, and the video is recorded locally, never uploaded. When you finish, preview the recording and download it as a WEBM video, which plays in all modern browsers and in VLC, and can be uploaded directly to YouTube.
How to use the Online Screen Recorder
- Choose whether to include microphone and system audio and pick a quality.
- Click Start recording and select the screen, window or tab to share.
- Click Stop (or stop sharing) when you are done.
- Preview the video and click Download video.

Does it work on mobile phones?
Most mobile browsers do not allow screen capture from websites. Use Chrome, Edge or Firefox on a Windows, Mac, Linux or ChromeOS computer.
How do I convert the WEBM video to MP4?
WEBM plays in browsers, VLC and on YouTube. If you need MP4, open it in a video editor or converter that supports WEBM.
Why is system audio missing?
System audio capture is supported in Chrome and Edge, and for tab sharing you must tick "Share tab audio" in the sharing dialog.
